A most unique and spell binding carpet. It is from the city of Gorawan and is made from wool. The centre is ecliptic in shape and contains an arrangement of most beautiful flowers that contrast with a dark blue backdrop. The rest of the carpet has an amazing range of flowers and motifs, all contained within an outer guard border.
In Azerbaijan North west of Iran there is the province of Heriz. This area includes many famous names of Persian carpets , Heriz and Gorawan are only 2 of them.
